THE CREATIVE PROCESS:
I live in west Texas, 100 miles south of Alpine TX. I work out of my home, and as such will do most of my correspondence and communication via telephone and email. However, if you live in the area, I would be happy to meet with you in person.
If you are interested in commissioning a piece, contact me with the desired size and any ideas that you have for the colors, theme and design.
In order to ensure you are fully satisfied with the end result, I will sketch out a few ideas to be submitted for your consideration. Once the final sketch has been approved, and a price estimate agreed upon, I will require a 25%deposit before starting work on your piece.
I will send pictures of the piece under construction prior to soldering so that if any last minute changes need to be made, they can be made at this point.
When the piece is finished I will contact you with pictures and discuss shipping methods and cost. At this time another 60% payment will be required before I ship the piece. If paying by personal check, shipment will be held until the check clears.
Upon arrival at your location, the remainder of the balance will be due.
Payment can be made by personal check, cash (only if delivered in person) or through Paypal.
HOW MUCH DOES STAINED GLASS COST??
This is the hardest question to answer. There are so many variables that come into play. Imagine walking into a jewelry store and asking "How much is a necklace?" Of course it depends on the quality and type of the materials used, the intricacy of the design, etc.
So it is in stained glass pricing as well. The price depends on the size, but more so on the type and quality of the glass used, the number of pieces of cut glass, the complexity of the design, etc. For example, a large design with relatively fewer and simple cut pieces of glass could be cheaper than a small design with more numerous and complex cut pieces of glass.
My prices start at $70.00 a square foot and vary depending on the above factors.
